
John and Joy Taylor:
Musician, author, cook,
bicyclist, motorcycle enthusiast, bird watcher, amateur radio operator, trivia
master, all rolled into one. John holds a degree in music from
Joy worked 20 years as Executive Secretary at Litton Guidance Systems in Woodland Hills, California. During that time she worked with John on his book, "Wake Up America". Upon retiring to Grants Pass, Oregon with John, she collaborated with him on "Birding Hotspots in Southern Oregon", "Old Timers Tales of Oregon", and The Tasty Cuisine of the Wolf Creek Inn". Joy is currently on the board of directors for the Friends of the Symphony as well as the hospitality director for that organization. Joy was past secretary for the Siskiyou Audubon Society and is currently on the board of directors for that organization as well.
John is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and was the chief photographer for The Tasty Cuisine of Wolf Creek Inn recently published in 2005. In 2006 was assigned as chief photographer for Cooking for Company.
After hard training on a racing bicycle in the early
seventies, John competed at the Encino Velodrome in
John currently holds a Technician’s Amateur Radio
License which allows him to operate a ham radio station. His call letters are
KE6CJW, as authorized by the Federal Communications Commission, and is the
founder of LERT (the Litton Emergency Radio Team) at the Litton Woodland Hills
facility. He is currently on the list of respondents in the
